The hdpe welding rod is a solid circular product formed by extrusion of PE resin, with colors of black or white, which is used in the process of joining or repairing HDPE plastic geomembrane.

The materials what we use for the hdpe(high density polyethylene) plastic welding rod is the same as hdpe geomembrane, which is easy for the liner welding.

Welding Techniques for HDPE Welding Rod

1)Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the HDPE surfaces to be welded using a suitable cleaning agent or solvent to remove dirt, grease, and any contaminants that may affect the welding quality.

2)Beveling: In certain applications, beveling the edges of the HDPE components prior to welding can enhance the welding strength and the surface area for fusion. This is particularly important for thicker HDPE materials.

3)Tacking: Align the HDPE components in their intended positions and securely tack them together using clamps or other fixing methods. Tacking helps maintain alignment during the welding process.

HDPE plastic welding rods are typically used with hot air welding techniques, such as extrusion welding.

Extrusion Welding: Extrusion welding involves preheating the HDPE surfaces using a hot air gun and then introducing the HDPE welding rod into the hot air stream. The rod melts, and the molten material is extruded onto the joint, creating a strong weld when the surfaces fuse together.
